We conscientiously use our natural resource to manufacture top-quality lumber and by-products for delivery to the global marketplace. SPF lumber for housing construction is our primary focus. We produce 7,8, and 9 foot length 2x3, 2x4, 2x6, and 2x8 lumber exporting to both the United States and Canada. With our process we also create wood chips, bark, sawdust, and wood shavings, all of which are sold locally in Nova Scotia. These byproducts are used to create energy, paper products, landscaping, and animal bedding.
Certified Heat -treated, Grade Stamped lumber
The National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) requires the use of grade stamped lumber for all engineered wood structures including houses and small buildings. The Grade Stamp on each piece of lumber produced clearly shows the species group and quality standard of that particular piece of lumber.
Buying lumber which is grade stamped assures you of a consistent specified quality. Always look for the stamp bearing the letters M.L.B., short for Maritime Lumber Bureau, signifying you are buying a product produced in the Maritimes manufactured to a specific standard. Ledwidge Lumber is mill #88. You can find our lumber in your local hardware store! We do not sell direct to the public, all of our lumber produced is sold through our sales broker: Eacan Timber
